Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken while flying to a hydro-electric station in northern Quebec, Canada. The plane was at an altitude of about 20,000 feet and the sky was clear (obviously). These islands were located in the middle of a frozen lake. Sharpness is kind of hard to get from that altitude, especially through a plane window, but I kind of like the result. Comments are welcomed.

I liked this shot.
A green patch on a vast white space is simply great.
Shadow of the whole island make feel extraordinary.
Sharpness and color can be enhanced using any photo tool .

It's interesting how snow and ice make such a scene so much more interesting that what it would be in summer colours. I like the simple composition, and bright snow, that has just enough texture to avoid being too static.
