Photographer’s Note
Another view of the Classic Car Event from downtown Chilliwack last summer. This photo shows the amount of distortion from the 18-55mm kit lens. The people on the street on the left are fairly vertical and while the coupe on the right is on a real slant. I left it like this to show the distortion and add to the perspective. A very bright sunny day filled with wonderful colors. Enjoy!

Well done, the shot is really good, especially for the variety and saturation of colours.
The perspective given by the cars is also very interesting.

Hi Paul, A good photo to remind us the warm and fun summer days. Nice composition to see the lines of cars, and the stores.

Hi Paul,
Good composition, with the bright saturated colors of the cars and the people around it. You manage to captured the essence of the event well. Congrats!

Hi Paul. Your right about the bright light here as it's almost blinding! I guess that guy will never lose his car in a parking lot with the blaze orange. Good repetition of the cars for some depth and the people make for a lively scene. tfs Paul!

My eyes must be messed up- cause I actually don't see the distortion... or if any- very minimal. When you say the coupe is on a slant are you basing that on the back right top are above the wheel well? It looks as though that is part of the design...
Regardless, a nice daily life shot. Looks like it would be a great way to spend a relaxing Saturday/ Sunday.
Cheers Paul!

Hi Paul
Very bright, sunny and vibrant. I can't wait for the sun myself, had enough of this winter already. Like the colours of the cars, they seem to jump out of the screen. The distortion of the lens is great and can be used to good effect if positioned carefully. I never straighten anything, I like the distortions. It's just another challenge in photography that you can use to your advantage. Well done and thanks for sharing this.
Cheers

A nice collection of oldies under good sunny conditions that enhance very well their colors and make the chromes shine, nice one.
I wish you a nice week end,

Hello Paul,
What a strong view with action and great rich colours and, of course, stunning cars. Really a superb compo, the only slight problem seem to be the two people on the left - I would have preferred that the crop wasn't so tight on them, but I do realise that there may have been something else disturbing or simply that your photo didn't reach any further. Nevertheless a superb photo. Thanks and best wishes, Chris

Wow , this is an excellent picture. Great vivid colours and good sharpness. Very good composition with the cars in line giving you good perspective. The people give the touch of the daily life shot. Very well captured.
Well done Paul.

Hi Paul,
Your POV really makes this shot come alive. The two main cars are well seen, and there is good clarity throughout, but its the people - some staring at the camera, and others at the cars, that really enhance and project the shot's message. I wouldn't want to tangle with the muscular fellow in the white tee shirt! A good capture, Paul.
