[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've already seen many wonderful places in different parts of world, but there are always few that stay with you forever. One of those is definitely Bow Summit & Peyto Lake at Banff NP. I first saw it on the cover of one Canadian guidebook. I thought that they have used Photoshop a lot as I could not believe those colors could be real. This photo was taken just before sunset so the color of the water is not as turquoise as it is during day, but the view is something hard to forget once seen with your own eyes.

I've seen photograph of this place here on TE already many times but I simply cannot resist to post it myself. As the view left me absolutely speechless by its beauty.

Lucie

Indeed, this is a truly unforgettable view. I guess this must be nature at its best, and you happened to be there and share that moment with these surroundings. Apart from that, you captured it on a well-composed photograph, well done!

Grate picture of a wanderfull view.
Thanks

Beautiful shot! I've seen a lot of pictures of Peyto Lake, both on TE and elsewhere, but I've never seen one like this. Great idea to keep the mountains and trees dark and conentrate on the sky and lake. This gives the photo a different feeling, much more moody, with a sense of brooding power that is lacking in sunnier shots. Superb!

Ah Lucie, it is a stunning scene, and look at those clouds!!! They seem to be rolling along the hilltops to the end of the valley. Wonderfully shown, thank you
Janice

A different, but very worthy, perspective on a beautiful scene, Lucie, emphasizing the clouds and water instead of the cliffs and trees. The turquoise is beautiful any time! (Probably you know that that color comes from glacial minerals in the water.) A great moody landscape! Regards, Ken.

You have a stunning gallery Lucie! Such a great sense of composition and light. I really enjoy the visit.
This is a stunning view indeed. I like here the subdued light and the way the view wanders across the mountain ranges to the horizon. Besides, the sky is beautiful.
And congratulations on your 100th post!

Hi again
nice shot like your others.
maybe better if the mountain had more brightness
Hamid

Abosolutely amazing shot, the colours and contrasts in the clouds are amazing enough they almost seem unreal and where you stood to take this shot allows you to see for ever into the valley and like many of the other glacier fed lakes in the Banff, Jasper area the beautoful turquois water.
