This gentelman is homeless...He can be seen in downtown Toronto. He is earning money for life (I guess not too bad money) by showing his pets. You can see 3 fitchews or polecats on the leash and 4 rats on the hand. Unfortunately I missed the moment when one of the polecats was showing how it can catch the rat (actually it was akin how the cat holds little kitten). But I think that even this picture showing this amazing company is interesting one.
BTW I am not sure if this is exactly polecat - same family 100%. So comments on what specie it actually is are welcome:)

In europe a "familymenber" of this polecat is breded for its fur. beleive it is also known in english as "ferret" or something.

ferret is a an albinos form of a polecat. Only differences between this two kind of animals is colour of hair. In Poland we use general name of this animal in translation to english polecatferret because of fact that in slavery ferrets and polecats was crossed to find a various colours of fur. Interesting photo!

This picture makes me laugh - an eccentric man and his family! I like the tails drooping over his arm. In the US we just call them ferrets - cute little guys.

this is a fascinating picture of real life. I like this kind of shot a lot. My favourite kind of pictures are of street life. These are not alwyas the easiest kind of shots to take as you must try and catch the moment. ( I would have loved to have seen the ferret with a rat in its mouth1).
By the way we call these polecat ferrets as they are domesticated. The lighter one is an albino. But i note that in Canada you call them fitchews, which is new to me. My sons kept ferrets when they were kids.
