Photographer’s Note
This shot was a bit of luck...my boyfriend has always complained he's never seen a 'real' Mountie in Ottawa, and on my very next visit, well whaddaya know :)
Mounties, or Royal Canadian Mounted Police, are the primary national police force in Canada, and this bloke is in his ceremonial dress uniform. The background is the Peace Tower on the Parliament buildings, the seat of federal government.

Nice shot! Nothing says "Canada" more than a mountie - particularly when he's wearing full dress uniform and he's on horseback outside the parliament! I'm not 100% sure about the colour balance - there may be a little bit too much magenta, but I'm not certain. Anyway, very good work :-D

Very nice. It's a stereotype on digital celluloid!!! :-)
Nice colours and composition.
For a shot like this I tend to go for big saturation, so I did a WS.

Says Canada! to me. The dark horse and red jacket really catch one's eye.
Small details.
Looks to me like your lens choice has caused the tower to lean right, the right side of the building to lean left. A bit of perspective tweaking would take care of that.
The folks on the right side of the photo drag one's eye to them. You might try lowering the saturation of their clothing so that they blend more into the background.
Welcome to TE....
