Photographer’s Note
These days, I don't have a lot of time for photography, so I decided to repost one of my best fist shot, with some corrections: rotation to remove the tilt, Neat Image treatment to remove the noise, sharpen. Much better like this, no?
=================================================
The title is exagerated a little, but what I mean, It's that even a village not particularly pretty can take romantic appearances the night. I love here lights of the city, the felted water at the bottom, the crescent of ice which reflects the lights. The photograph is a bit blured, but It's just more soft and romantic!

Pascal nice work in your reposting. The scene really is outstanding. The foreground that is the closest I gather is moving water. Nice work!

Great shot Pascal!
I have been wanting to do some shots like this for ages! Looking for some frozen bits near running water to get this effect. Unfortunately when I was back in BC for X-mas a couple years ago, the weather wasn't really co-operating.
You have some great elements to the shot here as you have an interesting backdrop, which makes for a good composition.
What I may have done a bit different;
First of all I'd go for a slightly faster shutter speed (maybe 2 seconds with a lower f-stop?), capturing a bit more detail in the water, and thus also reducing the digital noise present in the image- in turn eliminating the need to use "Neat Image, which also saves more detail. Neat image is good at reducing noise, but unfortunately you lose some detail in other parts of the image as well.
Regardless Pascal it is still a good shot... well done!

Hi Pascal. Well I compared before and after and it certainly was a large improvement. I think it's the added sharpness that makes for the most improvement. Good PP work Pascal!

Hi Pascal,
Wow! Yes, I would say this is a significant improvement. I like the foreground blur and the various layers of colour moving into the frame. The blue and golden glows are especially appealing and dramatic. The bridge detail and overall lighting effects are superb. Great night shot, Pascal.

Bonjour Pascal,

Hello Pascal. Beautiful light and colour in this sharp night shot. I might crop out the fuzzy foreground blob as it's a bit distracting and give the scene a panoramic style.

Bonjour Pascal

Bravo !
