Photographer’s Note
The second in a series , this photo shows the view across the Fraser River. This view is looking northward from my previous posting on Mt Woodside. Perhaps not as dramatic, this photo has a primary focus on the light on the shorline with the mountians in the background. Another posting near the same location shows how different the lighting can be.
Being at the mercy of outdoor light, one only needs patience for the best lighting conditions on a scene like this. If you think its clearing up after the rain, GO!!! to that favorite spot. If you get to your favorite spot early, wait for clouds to change and the sun to come out. Even if you see nothing the time will be well spent away in our natural world. Enjoy!

Hey there Paul,
fantastic view. The colors are fantastic as is the composition. Superb clarity. I recently saw a shot done at f/22 and it was just stunning. I do wonder if it would have made a difference here. Could be interesting to try.

Great colours and light! The colors combination makes the composition very reach. The reflection in the water is really well obtained.

Another very picturesque photograph, this yellow band of trees is very effective to warm up gloomy sky. Great composition, I like this solitary log on the beach.

Good evening.. Lovely warm colors in the grasses and reflection, with a view to the coolness of the sky & mountains. The lighting is ever so seductive, inviting one across the river and beyond. Nice frame.

Hi Paul. Nice to see another from the 50mm lens. I bet that lens would be nice to take on a hike just because of how small and light it is. You were still able to fit the big mountains in easily with that much zoom. Good one Paul.

Great study in light Paul! I like the different elements of the photo, which have very different colours and textures, which is enhanced by the great lighting. The sun on the trees, with the darker background makes for a dramatic look. Great work!

beautiful golden colors, Paul
very nice landscape
I use my canon 50, f1.8 usually for portrait, or indoor, and sometimes infrared picture, never know it also good for landscape :)

Amazing contrast with sunlit shore and the cloudy mountains.
I like your note. That's the advantage of locals, while the tourists are usually too much in a hurry to wait for the right moment. Even if they happen to find the right place.

Bonjour Paul,
une autre vue bien colorée de cette région aux nombreux lacs. Le soleil frappe la forêt, lui donnant ces teintes de feu intenses, tandis que le ciel fait grise mine, un contraste toujours très photogénique.
Bien vu et capturé.
Daniel.

Hello Paul,
It is fantastic the way you captured all those layers of nature. I like the contrasted colours between the far dramatic far background and the warm elements. reflection was also captured well.

Hi Paul
The power of this shot can be seen in the yellow grasses and their reflection in the water. We just don't get this scenery in London. I'll have to go all the way up to Scotland to find anything remotely like this. You guys are lucky!
I like the framing and the dramatic clouds, which actually enhance the yellow grass even more. A great catch. Thanks for sharing.

Bonsoir Paul,

L'on pourrait faire le même rapprochement avec la photo.
Très belle réussite.
Un vrai régal.
Amitiés.
