Photographer’s Note

Time: 15:35 hrs

On a dark January Day, as seen from the Western End of the catwalk at section 20 of the Port of Trois-Rivieres, the Kruger Trois-Rivieres paper mill. The plant is located between the St-Lawrence river shore and the historic Chemin du Roy Road 138 linking Montreal and Quebec city. Kruger is actually the major employer of the City, operating two huge paper mills in town. In 2001, Kruger acquired the Wayagamack Paper mill located on an island at the mouth of Saint-Maurice river. They invested massively with the help of the Provincial Government in the modernization of the mill.

Since then, the City did renamed the boulevard Royal to Boulevard Gene H. Kruger, name of the founder of the dynamic group and did post a few road signs around the City thanking the Group for their help in keeping valuable jobs in the Community.

I opted for a B&W photo for a change as the day was indeed very dark, and colors barely noticeable. I hope you will like it.
Cheers!
Robert
