Photographer’s Note

I don't have much time and energy for TE at the moment, but here is my 50th photo from Canada anyway.

In the night between the 19th and 20th of September, there was some light snowfall in the Lake Louise area. So when I went up the road to Moraine Lake on the morning of the 20th, it was an utterly simple but pleasant experience to watch the sun work its way through the clouds and fog above the Valley of the Ten Peaks, and see it accentuate the autumnal colors below the light white coating. Taken just one minute after this photo, this is also an illustration of the rapidly changing weather and light conditions in an alpine environment.

Original shot; just a minor crop.
