Grouse Mountain: "I'm almost to my destination"

Well, well, well. This is North Vancouver, I'm not yet arrived, I have to take the Bus 236 @ Lonsdale quay to Grouse mountain.

Grouse mountain is so close to the city of Vancouver that snowboarders can go there already equiped. Life is so easy !

A part ça , excellente composition, magnifique noir et blanc !
Une vue très décalée….
ON se demande ce qu’il fout là le type avec sa board….

Salut Al, Alors, qu'est-ce qu'il attend ce pauvre malheureux? La neige? Ou plutôt le bus... Excellente composition ici, j'aime beaucoup comme t'as encore pris "Lonsdale Quay" dans la photo. Et cet homme qui n'a que sa planche qui le tiens debout (c'est l'impression qu'on a, mais je crois qu'il regarde simplement quelque chose qui est plus bas - j'espère que c'est que son sac à dos!) Très bon B/W! Merci pour le partage! Sabine

Hello Al,

Not sure what this guy is thinking of, but I think this is a Excellent shot. The B/W conversion is nice and a nice capture.

I don't know the ISO Setting you used for this picture; probably it was more than 800 because of low light. And while using Sandip's new G6 Camera, Pictures are bit grainy with high ISO setting. For this picture however the gain has added drama in the atmosphere.

presque arrivé alors;-) ouf la route etait longue et il neige à paris cet apres midi, alors tu vois pas la peine d'aller aussi loin;-)) haha! dommage que tu n'aies pas choisi la couleur

hi al, let me comment to your comment today by my pic - ypou should not feel sorry you missed some of my pics; i also did miss some cool stuff of yours; for me - seeing your works is a great experience and some of the pleasures of the day;
like this one today - first of all: finding a guy with a snowboard on the station is a challange, photographing the scene in this way: it is a masterpiece;

We have been following you on this journey Al to Grouse Mountain and I think we have enjoyed it. Certainly your reprtage is so much different from the usual are of posed tourist snaps. You have a fantastic artistic sensibility about your shots. Nice sense of loneliness and tiredness that you started yesterday and continue even more in this photo.

Yes, c'est un over boar, c'est mc Fly qui le lui a prete ? la chance ;o)...plus besoin de neige pour rider ! Sympa la photo, j'aime bien l'humeur, l'attente interminable avant de glisser sur la neige...

j'adore ces images urbaines !
ton n&b et le bruit fonctionnent à merveille.
l'arrière plan truffé de pub ne détourne pas notre regard du gars au snowboard.
c'est excellent
