Photographer's Note
She is passing by the shopping mall, looking for a gift. It is cold outside, minus 8 C with strong winds--after all, the Hudson's Bay Company, connecting two streets downtown, offers some shelter from the elements. It also offers an abundance of goods we would never think of needing ever, weren't we exposed to a steady flow of advertisements that are desperate to prove we could not live without them.
Here I was interested in the division of the real/unreal, again, by the orange red column separating the mannequin and the woman.

Hi Sarolta,
I like the stylish left side of this composition a lot. The mannequins hand position, the simplicity of the color scheme. I wonder how this would have come out if that red was extended, but that would be a different photo.
I like this divisio of the ral and unreal that you are going after too. It works well when the unreal i so graphical in nature and so simple, its a real good contrast.
A technical question: how is your camera handling the sudden temperature fluctuations? Going in from the -8 cold to the inside of a store and out again? Any problems with things like condensation for example? Im curious as winter is fast approaching here too and this is my first time with a DSLR in such conditions.

Hello Sarolta,
I think you experiment a lot with the tilt and I am lovin it. There is two parts of this picture, the real and unreal, the left side and the right side of it divided with a red pillar rich in color. I like the focus on the doll and lovely colors through out this picture.

Hi Sarolta,
very well seen, a good compo with real/unreal people.
I like the red color and the way you divided the picture with the column.
The tilt is good and useful here.
Well done

great focus, and good note too.
great work, as every day.
thanks, ciao

The left part of your composition is very interesting because of the mass of colours. I think it could enven take more place here. The right side well balanced the tilt and show us the real world.
Nice shot

hi sarolta, a delightful image - i love this "steril" unreal part being as if out of the reach of the "ordinary", "real" part;
fantastic idea and excellent execution of the concept;
very very attractive shot;

Wow! Absolutely fantastic composition here. THe color is just gogeous, and so is the clever use of DOF! Here is a case that just wouldn't work without the tilt.

hi sarolta,
another wonderful shot, the contrast in colours is really great, and really well composed in the diagonal line, the orange column is such a strong border line between what you chose to show as the real and unreal world...very original idea...
best regards
A.

oh yes, that hand... i know you couldn't resist it :-) great white on black, something to draw your eye immediately, contrasts well with the beautiful red, and it gives "reason" to the tilt as well. very well seen and kudos to the mannequin designer too. (i wonder if your choice of focusing on the artificial and blurring the reality in your shots lately is intentional. perhaps it's just the graphic designer in you)

Hi Sarolta. great great job... love the tilt and the red frame divider. I might have done a crop on the right side to tighten it up.

As I scrolled down this image as it revealed itself for the first time I was kind of thinking 'what on earth is Sasa up to now - I don't quite understand why she........' - and then I hit the hand in the bottom left and the whole image changed - the composition all comes together in an integrated whole but the thing that really doesn't leave my mind is the perception that this is one hungry mannequin that is just itching for the shop to empty so that she can get her hands on those goodies (cookies?)!!
best wishes Kev

Great bold photo, love the colours and the way that the photo is seperated into three.
Just the type of image I like. Well done.

No one uses the TILT more inteligently, more philosophically than you, dear Sarolta. Here's another example: beyond the "prettiness" of the design there is an idea with teeth, a dichotomy, real world/fantasy, and a dividing line. You bring a lot of class and style to TE and those of us who follow your journey here can only be grateful, on this Thansgiving day...
Cheers,
Francis

Bonjour Sarolta
Amicalement
