A beautiful image which not only show the beauty of the little bird and its surroundings but also transmits well a peacefull moment withthe colors the scents and sounds of Autumn. The composition is fantastic and the detail on the birdseed and the bird is great. The nearly invisdible spider web is perfect.

Salut Claire. An enchanting photo of the blue jay delighting in the birdseed. Very nice autumn mood depicted with the fog, and the seasonally colored (and already partially barren) trees in the back. I enjoy the subtle colors and the natural look of this one.

An excellent composition, and the clarity of the blue jay is perfect which works to enhance the contrast of foggy backdrop.
The fog and weather remind me of Oct./Nov. in BC- very similar.

Ohhh, the blue jay. My grandpa always fed his blue jays, but I was never a fan of them- they always chased the other birds and yelled that scream you described. But, this one gave you the most lovely picture. The hazy background provides a lovely soft light over everything. The seed and the bird stand out quite nicely. Great work!

Lovely capture along with your funny note. You just made me laugh. The way the bird has his head tilted, it looks like it is comunicating with you, or at least aware of your presence. The foggy background is wonderful. It seems like a very cold morning...

une image très douce dans ses tons, qui change de beaucoup d'images quelquefois trop saturées en couleur
en effet, le geai semble se poser des questions ;o)
il ne devait pas être farouche puisque tu n'es pas très loin de lui (au vu de ta focale utilisée)

I saw this photo yesterday but had no points left. What a lovely scene in the fog. Excellent exposure which evokes the mood of fall. The bird on the handrail adds such a nice touch and is the premier foacl point of the photo. Add to that a simple wooden rail that seems well weathered and so fitting to this photo. A gorogus fall scene that would delight anyone if they saw this in their backyard. Winter is coming!

Quelle photo magnifique! Les tons de gris spécialment foncé de cette arrière scène donne une atmosphère quelque peu lugubre... Mais le regard en coin de ce petit geaie blue fort sympatique vient merveilleusement mettre de la vie dans cet endroit! J'aime particulièrement le petit étincelle de lumière sur la gelé étendu sur la planche de bois. Très belle composition! Bravo!

I have to disagree with Sarju here... a shot does not need to be punchy to be excellent... and a fog rarely is "punchy"... it is more lyrical. Plus, you have added a lovely and rare blue jay to it, making it a very, very beautiful shot with the misty, slightly blurred autumnal trees...gorgeous composition, Claire.

Ce geai bleu est placé au bon endroit, sur le point d'art, c'ests superbe et ça lui donne toute sa force. J'aime le léger glou en arrière, l'impact est puissant avec l'avant-plan. Bien vu.

Bonjour Claire, tout d'abord je voulais te remercier de me faire découvrir ta superbe galerie; tes photos sont d'une superbe qualité et je suis humble en les regardant!
J'aime beaucoup cette image de cet oiseau qui a effectivement l'air curieux vers toi ; on l'entend même chanter avec sa tête tourner comme ça et la 'bouche' ouvert. On voit bien le 'frost' sur cette barrière et avec le brume derrière on a vraiment une sens très froid avec cette image chaude de l'intention. J'aime beaucoup! Sabine

Bonjour, Claire.
Lors de mes balades dans ta galerie, je me suis aperçu d'une chose : tu es très exigeante avec toi-même. Tu ne postes pas souvent de photos mais toutes tes photos postées sortent de l'ordinaire. Quelque soit le sujet, il y a toujours une forte ambiance et beaucoup d'émotions. Personnellement, je suis beaucoup plus "boulimique", et un peu comme Bantonbuju, j'ai du mal à m'empêcher de poster quasiment tous les jours ;). J'apprécie beaucoup ton côté gourmet plutôt que gourmand même si je deviens impatiente de voir du nouveau chez toi !

Très belle scène, avec un oiseau qui marque ici remarquablement sa présence. On dirait même qu'il a une personnalité et un certain état d'âme : ici, il me semble pensif...peut-être non seulement en raison de son regard mais aussi à cause de l'environnement brumeux....
