september rainbow Photo

Photographer’s Note

a rainbow in September is quite unusual this time of year in the North. There was a rainsquall late in the afternoon, and after it had passed, the sun came out.
I had a bit of a dilemma: to get most of the rainbow- and the reflection in the water- I had to center the horizon..... there was no time to look for another POV- within moments the magic was gone.

wow! That was one fabulous capture Marialuisa. I have seen a semi circle rainbow only in the US. may be because of the visible terrain. The reflection of the rainbow on the water is also well captured. Good one.

Bonjour Marialuisa,
superbe évidement cet arc-en -ciel et en regardant bien, on distingue même le 2e, un petit bout du moins.
Une toute belle réalisation, le POV est excellent, tu aurais pu peut-être avoir un peu plus à droite, mais c'est mieux c'avoir un des 'pieds'.

Nice composition. Good light control, even with the sky so saturated. LIke the rainbow reflection on the water.

Great one! This is probably the first time I see a picture of a rainbow with a reflection? Well seen and nicely captured... I like the way the bending shoreline takes my eye to the details in the background... Nice one!

Splendid nature moment and you decisive shot to the rainbow. I agree with your note guidelines. Fantastic angle of view and perspective catching all the rainbow mirroring in the water. Very good light management, fine sky, soft colors and a very nice scenery and atmosphere.

Nicely tight framed this rainbow and its reflection, I like how you could use this beach as a border right and the contrast towards the clouds well textured to the horizont, well captured Marialuisa
