Photographer’s Note
I hope my Canadian friends had a good Thanksgiving weekend, yes we celebrate it in Canada one month before the US.
This would be my second and last offering from the Full moon of September. This is the moonrise over the Lake Ontario from Coronation Park, Oakville, Ontario. One can see the rocks in the moon's reflection on the lake that I had to walk along the the shore to make them centered with the light.
Oakville is a beautiful small town situated 45 km west of Toronto. Downtown core of Oakville along the lake front is a tranquil place where one can experience all the good things of small town Ontario. I go over there whenever I am fed up with the hustle bustle of Toronto.
This photo was taken one day after the full moon on sept 17. It was a beautiful evening.
PS: I don't really like this photo that much but still wanted to post it just to conclude the photos of moonrise from Oakville.

Hi Sarju,
A very appealing shot of this moonlit lake. The light on the water is scintillating. An air of mystery and enchantment is conveyed here. Very alluring and well captured, Sarju. Happy Thanksgiving...

Hello Sarju
I envy you this shot of the moonrise, due to the wide expanse of water.
You were right to include the rock in the moonlight beam
A really good one

I had to read your note to understand this shot Sarju, so thank goodness you told us about the rock. I had no idea the moon could be so bright as it has no light of its own, only reflection from the sun. I love the brightness of it and the reflections to include the rock. (when you think about it this is a reflection of a reflection!)

Hi Sarju,
VEry nice frame, good sky and nice reflection. the only thing a bit off is the barrel distortion. I see you've started using neatimage. the result looks great.

Sarju, you shouldn't say 'I don't like it that much', I'm trying for years now to make a good photo of the moon. I asked a photographer this week and he started to smile. He said in Russia itš called a copeke. I think I need more time to get the secret out of him . . . .
Good choise with the rock, personaly I would have set it off centre slightly, now the symetry ax is to strong for my taste.
Beautiful detail in the clouds.
Thanks for the note, you knoe in Holland they have Sinterklaas, and they celebrate it on dec. 5?
regards,
D.

Hi Sarju - this is very unusual and surreal, it looks a lot like a sunrise, really intense light.

That's an incredible light effect you captured perfectly. The sharpness in the sky is right too.
Impressive shot.

Good, simple eyecatching photo of a scene that most of people would'nt even notice. Well balanced exposure that leave enough detail on sea and sky, without ruining overall atmosphere.
Good work
