After the visit of "Cave and Basin", we undergo a large downpour. Our first rain since the beginning of our trip into the Canada.
The sky is black and the day is really not announced beautiful. We resign ourselves to make a turn conveys some in Banff. Direction Banff Springs Hotel. An immense building in the middle of a forest of fir trees.
The town of Banff (1383 m) is in the Bow Valley, between the Sulphur Mountain and the Cascade Mountain.
The river makes surroundings 645 km length. Its source is in the Lake Bow (2069 m), to a hundred km upstream of Banff. After having crossed Calgary, it finishes its race in Oldman River.
It is on the Sulphur Mountain (2285 m) that we go after the downpour had stopped as brutally as it had started. At the top, the sky is clear, but with large clouds. But fortunately, those will save us for the remainder of the day. Top, the sight on the Bow Valley is splendid.
