Photographer’s Note

Again I go back to to CNE 2005 for today's post. This is the complete view of the people on the ride that I had posted earlier.(Candian National Exhibition in Toronto).

CNE is one of the biggest events in Canada and lasts for two weeks and usually ends on the Labour day long weekend in September. One of the prime attraction of the CNE is the air show in the last weekend where one gets to see many fighting planes from the USA and many other planes performing acrobatics.

This was one of the simplest and the prettiest ride so very full of photographic opportunities. One could really feel the good energy around this ride unlike the most rides where people are too scared ... lols. You can see people enjoying this elemental ride and in the background you can also see the CN Tower.

Excellent picture, the composition with the ride turning is very good it makes us feel the movement. The colours are excellent with the gold ride contrasting on the dark blue sky and I like also the reflection of the sun on the Toronto Buildings.

Bonjour Sarju,

This is a beautifull shot with very nice colors in the setting sun. The reflections of the sun in the background against the buidlings add to the photo. I like the tilt of the ride witch gives a play on the perspective.

I would have framed a bit higher to exclude the head of the people in the bottom

Great shot of this "Mexican hat", showing very beautiful colours and high dinamism. The CN tower is a good addition on the picture.

Great 'fun' shot Sarju, I actually like this one a little more than your previous cropped one. Works well in that kind of light. I would crop a little from the bottom to remove the face on the ground.

Nice point of view Sarju to included the CN tower in the back, the shutter speed freezing the riders. Probably very minor would have been to crop at the bottom to include only the carroussel, but I do this often so it is very pleasant like this ! Well done, have a nice day.

Hi Sarju;

Superb shot! At first I thought this was the ride at the PNE (Pacific National Exhibition) in Vancouver- at least until I noticed the location above the thumbnail.

Nice and clear, with a great composition including the CN tower.
My only suggestion would have been to have included the peoples toes etc. on the left and right.
A small point on an otherwise great shot.

Very cool photo, Sarju! I love the POV and the people having a blast. The CN tower in the background is awesome too. The crop is a tiny bit tight but that's rough with a spinning ride. Thanks for sharing!

This is a fun action shot, Sarju! The tilt of the ride really makes a difference here. I also like your tight crop, which brings focus right to the action.

Hi Sarju,
I like this one even better than i liked your "Lets go to the EX", which I liked allot.
It's a great freeze of motion spread on the entire frame.
(the heads on the bottom are a bit cropped but that;s nitpicking).

I can readily see that I have overlooked some great photo ops at annual fair and exhibitions held in Vancouver and Toronto. You have brought to life the fair with incredible clarity, colour, and verve. This shot not only conveys the animation and fun of the ride, but great colours and lighting. A marvellous capture and very well framed.

Hi Sarju, a good capture of this ride in action. The lighting is excellent with the golden sun illuminating the people and reflecting on the buildings behind. Well done for putting the CN Tower in the picture so we immediately know where the shot is taken.

I like rides and this is a great one. Light is great and the Toronto skyline is a great contribution to this pic - you managed well to get the whole CN Tower in between, completely uninterrupted, was that intentional:)?
