Photographer’s Note
The annual Harrison Hot Springs sand castle competitions are on until Oct.10. So for the next few days I will give you a sample of some of the outstanding artwork made from good old dirt!
This one was a campfire scene and this "mountain man" was telling a scary story to the children while holding a flashlight. Little did he know the scary story was about to become real.
Shot with Sigma zoom.
Check out the workshop posted for a very cool effect !

Well I have to admit that this is a real good shot. When I saw it the first time I jumped in the truck and headed down there to shoot my own set of photos.
I must also say this fella who is telling the story to the kids is alot like you Julius. Knowing you love to 4x4ing up in the mountains tells me that one day you will find a bear breathing down your back. But you won't notice it because ov your long hair in the wind. Your response might be.." Hmmm seems like its getting warmer up here"!! And then you smell something really wild not knowing its the beat behind you. You completly miss it by saying. " Whats that strong smell in the air?. You conclude that its only your pants that haven't been washed in years!!! Then you turn around. This bear starts to growl and say to you. "Im' Pat Williams pet dog named Bear and I want to settle a grievance with you!!!. " My master Pat is number ONE!!!"He will never pick boxes. I grandfathered him one day out in the woods"!!!And now I want to eat you"!!
