Photographer’s Note
One of my square-cropped series of Lac Philippe landscapes, this one is from another angle with the pickerelweed flowers floating in the midground in the water. I decided to desaturate it and give it a sepia hue because I thought it brings out the forms of the clouds captured both in the sky and in the water.

Very beautiful post processing to have these sepia tones. It increases the dramatical aspect of the scene and gives higher details for the various elements placed in the frame. Very well done !

Hi Sarolta
The sepia really works well to bring out the tones, especially in the sky and the water. The square format gives a lovely composition. I love the sharp definition and texture of the plants against the silky, rippled water.

Hi Sarolta,
Beautiful picture. The sepia tones give it a nostalgic atmosphere. I love the texture of the water surface. The horizon seems slightly tilted, but it's not that much of a problem...
Thanks for sharing !

Good idea to transform this pic in sepia..it really changes a simple landscape picture into a piece of art.
There is a little thing that bugs me, something to do with the balance of the various elements of this pic. Everything is nice and well done, but maybe too much things to look at ? I don't know.. I would try to crop part of the sky, just above the mountains OR some of the bottom water just below the plants on the left side...

Great view. The B+W makes the water look like flowing molten metal. I like it a lot. Maybe more impact than with the colour version, though i would like to see the original.

Nice shot here. Good depth and reflections in the water. I like the clouds spreading in the sky. Probably a colourful pic would have granted a better result, since the B/W creates a dark spot in front. But well done anyway! Good job!

This picture is impressive. I like the composition, giving little place to the sky, but letting it remarkable beaucse of the clouds, and I like the waves at the foreground echoing the motives in the sky. I am not keen on sepia pictures, but in that case, I think it is good to increase the atmopshere of the picture.
Welle done,
Yannick

And a very good choice to convert to B&W. The mood is very atmospheric and the PP work brings out this mood.
