Photographer’s Note
Oakville Harbour - one of the nicest places in Ontario - on a hot, hazy, late summer day. Kids fishing off the pier, boats asail on the last summer weekend before a return to school....or worse - work.
Originally shot with a Canon G2 and then cropped and desaturated in Photoshop.

The framing is great and there is a rythm to the presentation od the sail boats and the people.
The amount of sky is great and gives so much breathing room.

Nice panorama Mike, beautiful light and great B&W conversion, I like the crispy water and the clam atmosphere with the fishermen, well seen.

In the brightness of summer.
Fishing people's shadows give the impression.
Thanks for sharing .

Hi Mike
Seems like you like this place too.
I was amazed to find the Oakville harbour too and loved it ... good shot from the pier with the lighthouse .... I am very surprised to see so many yachts over here ... I have never seen so many of them even though I visit this place pretty often
thanks for sharing and nice to know someone else from Ottawa who liked this secluded place not so far from Toronto
cheers .... sarju
