Photographer’s Note
This is not really the kind of photos I post as I am a bit too shy when confronting people to take their photos. Anyways this is one of those rare photos.
The story of this photo is that I went to this cafe in the basement. The cafe was closed but some students were having a meeting over some wine and cheese. Anyways I just took some photos randomly with relatively slow shutter speed.
This photo stuck me because it is a bit symmetrical in a way that you have two persons facing the camera but are a bit fuzzy because they were moving. The other two girls are looking away but registered better in the photo because they were not moving.
BTW I took this photo by placing the camera on table.
Critiques would be welcome on this photo as I really do not venture into taking photos of people that often.

The beauty I found in this photo is the fact that you were able to isolate the girl on the left from the others by factor of motion. In addition, the two girls on the right give some counter weight to the whole picture, and shift the eye from the still girl to the motion girls, which also gives a busteling atmosphere. It is a good shot!
And listen - sometime you need a good portion of luck to catch that special feeling in the air..!

Hi Sarju,
FOr somenone who doesnt take photos of people often, this is a trully professional looking picture. I love the way the girl is the only one still in the photo, and all the gestures of the people around. This is a perfect pictuire to illustrate the feelings a student mayhave hanging out in school late.
Very very well done I wouldnt change a thing.
Regards
Daniel

Hi Sarju, i could not miss this one :) it's rare.. i think it's your first post with people right?
Isn't it fun? ;)
I like the final result, it as motion and life! nice experiment really... you should do this often and maybe do some closer portraits... you see that the shyness will slowly go away

The effect is cool, with this only clear women while the other people are blured. Interesting.

Good lights and blurry people makes the shot. I like to see just a moment sliced off from somebody's life, so I love this shot. Keep shotting people as the meanwhile you would be shy away, but gradually it will disappear.

Hi Sarju, An interesting long exposure shot. I like the combination of different blur levels showing in this picture. The background and the focused lady are clear which shows that you have done a good job without using tripod.

I like that you try some other area not used to do this and agree that people in the West are a very difficult subject as soon they feel that they are spotted, so your candid shot is nice for the movement blur in contrast to the not moving ones and your colors here of the surroundings are really marvellous, a good dily life action candid shot.

Hello Sarju!
Actually, I was struck by the excellent colours and contrast in this shot and the way in which you managed to capture the scene in an unposed way. The girls do not appear aware of or intimidated by the camera. Great clarity enhances the scene. I like it.

She seems so engaging in the blurry world around her. Very nice work, Sarju! I like the warm tones, too.

Very nice candid shot of these people. I like the motion blur from the people. I still feel a bit shy too, but that goes away with practice.

I like the anonimity of this shot. The combination of motion and direction has left us with no one we could recognize... something that would be difficult to accomplish this effectively if we tried to plan it. Well done!

Hi Sarju,
great picture. I like the colours and the lightning ... and certainly the mixture of sharpness and blur.
Nice composition.

It looks like a photo from a fashion magazine, scanned and post it here in TE. It's really good. I like the saturation of colours here and the illustration of movement. I like it Sarju.

I was surprised by your note as this is great. I like the symmetry you mention and the contrast between the very sharp and very blurred. Conveys the atmosphere of a busy cafe. It's tough taking photos of people but look forward to seeing more from you!

Well, shou should bring out your camera more often when you are seeing people because results are just amazing. Cannot stop looking at it, there's so much gooing on on this scene. thanks for sharing.

Great shot - lucky your subject stayed still for a half-second. A lot of photographers would correct the yellowness with white-balance - but I think it's a good tone for this shot.

I also have dificulty in taking picture of people. But to overcome that resistance is something that end up helping us in more fields than photography! Great shot. I also like the simetry and the movement. The blue stripes of the center lady and the red background bring a balance and impact to the shot.

daer sarju...
this is a brilliant peice of work. quite a desicive moment. as you yourself have said, the composition is very dynamic, and it is the incidental nature o the composition that makes this shot such a winner.
ab apna bhrat aakar bhi kuchh logon ke tasveer le lo. people here are so sexy, and so nice. :P.
yours,
bishan.

Hi Sarju,
I really like this one,
I'm a bit like you regarding shooting close to people in crowded spaces, especially where I'm living at the moment (Afghansitan)...;-)
I really like this laternance of sharpness and bluriness of the persons. Good idea to leave the camera on the table, more discrete than a tripod for sure ;-)
Vincent
Keep it up!

Olá, olá, olá!!!!!! I just arrived from a week in the countryside and your critics bumped on my face :) Then I saw your 4999 and came for your 5k, but...saw that Isabela got here first :(
Anyway, I chose this one because I like the atmosphere captured - I never thought that I would be addicted in photographing people, but I that's what happened. Now a days, I look obcessively for people with my camera and even my shy personality can't stop the adiction.
The result of this experience of yours is great and I love the motion effect from the slow shutter speed. I don't have a tripod and I'm too lazy to get one and use it, so tables are my best friends in such environments, but I also have a top screen in my camera which allow me to be more discret ;-)
The symetry is indeed interesting, but it's the cheerful expression of the fuzzy one on the right that makes this one sucessful, imho. I just noticed that this one has more than two years!
All the best my friend,
ric
