Photographer’s Note
On a recent visit to Montreal to see a performance of the Cirque du soleil, we had a couple of hours between lunch and the show time to wander around the streets of the Old Port area. I liked this view of Place Jacques Cartier taken looking up to the statue of Lord Nelson at the far end. The outdoor café's are usually teeming with tourists and in the evening time, many street performers such as jugglers, balloon scultpors, caricaturists, etc. come along to show their skills and earn a few dollars. In the daytime it is more calm, but still quite beautiful.
