Photographer’s Note
Just North of Edmonton is a stretch of highway referred to as "Refinery Row". During the day they look like skeletons of incomplete buildings with mazes of pipes and smoke stacks twisting their way throughout the structures. However at night they transform into beautiful mini cities of lights making for some spectacular night shots! Imagine how much electricity one of these monsters must use.... I didn't have my tripod with me so I rested my camera on the truck and held my breath.

Wow! That is spectacular! You perhaps could have made a more interesting framing by including more space - the sky looks like it had potential, and the blackness at the bottom, too.

The complex structure and lights make a very interesting subject, which you have managed to capture well.
i think the structure is kind of mixed (or lost) in lights but i'm not sure if a shorter exposure might have worked better.

Great industrial shot. a great impact caused by thousands of lights. Sky is akso shocking together with the steam stream.
A very good shot.

This is a very interesting picture, that refinery looks like a real monster of a building, like Centre Pompidou on steroids. The light and the smoke makes this image very exciting, the sky is great too. I get the feeling that it is slightly tilted, or maybe it is just the perspective.
