Bennett:
Awesome shot! Phenomenal decision to go B&W with this one. The shades are spectacular, it looks like an Ansel Adams! A triumph.
Good luck,
Matt

Hi Bennet,
This is a very nice view on vancouver. Beautifully framed by the leafes of the tree.

Hi Bennett,
I really like the bottom of the picture, but not the top with the leafes of the tree (this is only my own estetic point of view). Without the top it gives a superb panorama of Vancouver.

Very nice. A great panoramic shot of the skyline made more striking by the inclusion of the trees at the top and the leaves that almost seem to glow. Very unusual

Wicked shot! The placement of the branches along the top is a brilliant touch!

Ohhh my god, excellent !
Une superbe composition avec une lumière parfaite.
Le cadrage des braches est du plus bel effet et la POV est surprenante.
Le n/b lui va à merveille !
VERY VERY NICE !

Wow! Truly a romantic shot as one of the critiquer pointed out. The framing is excellent as well as the fact that you were able to combine both nature and structures. I love B&W photos and this is one of my favourite thus far. >;)

elle est vraiment magnifique cette photo. très lumineuse, surtout dans le feuillage, malgré les nuages.
just a question: what is the effect of the filter you're using ? is it a special w&b filter ?

i love your photographic style bennett - especially your black and white. this shot is beautifully framed by the leaves on the top and the water on the bottom. the ratio of the leaves to the sky to the city/water is excellent and the detail in the buildings is amazing.
and like some of your other black and white photos, they look other-worldly because of the infrared like process you use (incidentally, i would love to talk about how you achieve this effect).
awesome. another one for my favorites.

A beautiful shot Bennett - crisp clear detail and a nice decision to add this extra layer by framing the city beneath the canopy of this distant tree - great tone too. A very nice image.
best wishes Kev

Superb picture. A lesson for those, like me, who have to learn how to shoot in black and white !

Nice shot Bennett, well composed I think the lines are nice and sharp also.
Good in black and white, many tones which can be nicely seen in this grey scale.

without the leaves on top would be good too because the light and the pp works well. By choosing to leave it like that you give us the feeling we look this scene from an open window. Different and very very interesting!! Very well done!
