The Ottawa River was pretty high this year after a prolonged winter and a lot of snow. This picture was taken around the time the river crested.
The river separates Ottawa, Ontario from Gatineau, Quebec. This vantage point is in Gatineau overlooking the Parliament Centre Block on the Ontario side.

well captured and collected scene. The castle at the other bank of the river is very interesting and eye catching abd the tree adds some focal point in the foreground. Very nicely saturated colors and perfect sharpness.

This is a nice view across the river to the impressive Parliament. The low wall and the tree cover the left half of the photo very well and give good balance to the composition. The sharpness is perfect and the colors and light are equally good.

Excellent composition as I can feel the flowing water, and the tones reinforces the brilliant weather really, it's tranquil inviting viewer to hover around and obviously to the imposing edifice. I love the tree branches framing the LH, being vital part of the whole image and the water sheen gives a nice little touch. Very well done effort and pleasure to view, Congrats.

The Canadiens has just won against the Big Bad Bruins, so I needed to comment on a Canadian image... :-p))
You are presenting our Parliament from an original angle, allowing a discreet reflection on the Ottawa river. The way you have composed your image, half is dedicated to the iconic building, while the other is filled with the tree.

Wow, we don't often see photos from Ontario here on TE, so this excellent shot is very welcome. Also because it looks like something straight out of Paris, with the wonderful church on the hill balancing the composition nicely with the river and trees along its bank. Excellent natural colours and you handled the strong light conditions very well.
Thanks for sharing, have a lovely day
