This Beaux Arts style red brick building is now part of Peterborough's City Hall. It was built in 1910 with funds from the Andrew Carnegie Foundation as a free public library building. The steeple of the George Street United Church , another Peterboroug landmark, is visible behind the library building. The Carnegie Foundation supported the building of free public libraries around the world, 125 in Canada. I posted previously a picture of another Canegie supported library building in Paris, Ontario.

Excellently captured building and church tower from very well selected viewpoint. The view from lover angle makes the buildings majestic and dominant. The light is perfect, the contrast against bright sky superb. Well done.
