Photographer's Note

This is the largest academic library on the University of Western Ontario campus in London, Ontario. Named after Colonel D. B. Weldon, who commanded the London Regiment during WWII. It was opened in 1972, and built in the Brutalist style. These poured concrete buildings offered a relatively inexpensive solution to the demands for a lot of new climate controlled spaces in the rapidly expanding universities. The interior surfaces of the building are also poured concrete.
