Maligne Lake is a truly memorable location, although the southern end can be tricky to photograph unless you have your own boat or are prepared for a very long hike. For most people, including myself, the only way to the other end of the lake is on a cruise. That means you are always facing due south resulting in lighting difficulties in the mountains.
I used bracketing for this photo to even out the light - I hope you like the result.

Hi Ian, my neighbour today!
I like the result very much. Wow, it is splendid shot. The small wrinkles on the water made the reflections not so well visible but the composition is wonderful. amazing place - it is Canada as I imagine.
I am back home fighting with my photos, trying to make a selection. Difficult task it is .
Warm regrads to you and Colin

I think you have handled the lighting very well.
It looks like a very majestic landscape with the mountains converging down to the lake, where the pine trees stand proud.

Superbe prise de vue où le paysage prend une dimension extraordinaire quant à sa beauté.
Un pur régal pour les yeux.

Wow this is the stuff that dreams are made of. How lucky you are to be realising yours and travelling to such remarkable places. The quality of the photo is equally beautiful. I love those tones and the silvery light bouncing off the water. The trees on either side, act like ushers, ushering our eyes towards the centre of the frame. Excellent job. Have a great weekend.
PS: Yeah probably just missed you in Melbourne

You got a great result here, despite the awkward lighting conditions. The smooth lake, majestic mountains, stately trees and blue sky all combine to make a great photo.
