Taking another photo from the Industrial side of life :)

I took this photo as i was actually walking away, thinking my photo shoot for that morning was over. My camera gear was already packed up and i was looking forward to heading home to my comfortable bed.

Thats when i took a peak over my right shoulder and saw this glass water reflection.

Remember my letter "A" post a few days ago...well, that letter A is on the far right side of the tall black/dark structure in the bg. I had just finished taking that "A" photo and was satisfied with what i captured, but i couldn't resist to take a couple more.

Every shot you take becomes a noticeable work, indeed. This scenery that has not much interest (to me) pull my attention and makes that I look at it carefully, the reflection is like from another world, fantastic!

Hello Craig - No wonder you unpacked your gear for this shot. It is exceptional. The light is very lovely and the industrial landscape has been captured in such a way that it has become a beautiful artwork. Light and still water add an incredible 'airiness' to the shot, the colours are delicate with the small areas of red, blue and yellow adding a good contrast. One of the best shots I have seen for a long time and I wish I could award you bonus points! Best regards Rosemary

To answer your question - Nah, I don't like this one - I love it!

It was certainly well worth turning around and stopping and unpacking all your gear for this one. It's a beautifully composed shot with exquisite detail and sharpness, beautiful colours and perfect exposure.

I'm guessing that you didn't use HDR for this one - am I right? For I cannot see any of the tell-tale signs of HDR here - the colours and contrasts just look too pure and don't appear to have been manipulated at all. My guess is that this one is not very different from what the camera saw and that you've had to do very little editing of it - a sure sign of a great photograph.

Lovely soft light for this well composed image. The line of poles receding into the distance toward the crane give the image great depth. Beautiful reflections complemented by excellent colours and sharpness. If you can have a romantic industrial landscape composition, this is it!
