This image was taken from the scree slopes leading to the top of Storm Mountain (3100 m), close to the intersection of Highway 1 (trans-Canada Highway) and Higway 93 to Radium-Hot Springs (Banff-Windermere Parkway). Highway 93 runs in the green valley visible on the lover right.
From left to right on the horizon is visible the ridge of the Rockwall, which appears to be terminated to the right by Helmet Mountain (3130 m). In fact, Helmet mountain is behind the ridge. Left of center the impressive precipices of the Goodsirs are profiled against the sky. From left to right, Sentry peak (3256 m), Mount Goodsir South Tower (3567 m), Rae Peak (3364 m), and Mount Goodsir North Tower (3507 m). Right of center is visible the glaciated peak of Mount Vaux (3310 m). On the very right and much closer is Mount Whymper (2844 m).
It was slightly hazy end the conditions were not ideal for photography, especially not fairly late in the day when the image was taken.

an impressive mountain view... I like especially the great depth and the well distinguishable layers in the different colours... thanks for sharing!
Have a nice Sunday
