There is a walkway in Campbell River where the concrete walkway features this Circular Fishing setting. I did not want my shadows in the photo because it would ruin it so I deliberately flipped it upside down to have the two men in the fishing boat presented upright. This caused a distortion in the upper frame, but that is what I like about this photo. If it bugs you simply flip it upside down for correction. Thanks.

I'm back after having been in Palm Desert for 5 days, it really is a shock to come back to wet and cold temps again! down there its 18 degrees at 8 am!
as for this shot, i like it alot, for a couple of reasons...i like the unique perspective you mentioned and the band of green along the bottom to give the scene a sparkle of color.
having your shadow in the scene would obviously be an eyesore, clever idea to present it inverted. there seems to be an almost 3D like effect with the circular portion in the middle, its pretty cool.
i'll hope to post a few shots from palm desert, but not many, as i was there to chill and relax at the poolside mostly.
have a great day

That is the delightful part about photography, you have the ability to change conditions to meet your own needs.
I agree with you, to invert the photograph makes good sense and adds a few unexpected details to the periphery of your shot.
Fine, sharp details and a pleasing symmetrical composition.
My warm regards,

Hi Paul, A really interesting composition & taking the picture upside down adds to this, the art in the concrete is excellent & this is helped by the wonderful light, kind regards Wilson.
