Photographer’s Note

Photo taken in the old port at about the same place as one of my cavalier Maxim photo that I've post earlier this year.
While I was shooting for the cruise boat, this boat came with this big "wrooarrr" even if it was approaching slowly its final destination in the port. Obviously that this attracted the attention of much spectator close to the ramp and as the guy jacket suggest we knew who had the power !!

I've also joined another photo in the workshop showing the port with all the boats, again at about the same place. Hope you enjoy.

La photo est humoristique et effectivement c'est celui qui a les commandes de ce bâteau qui a le pouvoir... au contraire de cette fille... Bien vu!

That's dangerous for the driver here, he doesn't have a clear view or he is waiting patiently having all the time now. Well captured et mis en scene with a tight crop and marvelous clear colors.

great shot. very well framed, very sharp, good colors, the water is beautiful! "power", "hustler", suggestive signs :-) i have to admit, a great view for the driver, is there a theme "why accidents happen because of beautiful women"?

Salut Pierre,

Belle photo qui donne une pause de l'hiver. La lumière est vraiment bien ajustée dans ta photo. La noirceur de l'eau du fleuce encadre bien ce bateau coloré. En ce qui concerne le "timing" de l'image, quoi dire de plus, je crois que le nom sur l'arrière illustre très bien mon sentiment ;-)

Splendid quick boat Pierre, perhaps the woman is navigation point!!! The black and white wrinkles on it water is lovely, very sharp and clear.

I like the way you post-processed this shot. Such interesting color contrasts and compo is also very nice. Pleasing to the eyes.

Le bateau est très bien décrit par la photo, et dans ce cadrage parfait il y a de très belles lignes.... de clouleur.

Fun scene you spotted here, Pierre - the boat driver being distracted (or is he?) by the blonde woman. Good tight cropping, and nice non-intrusive background made by the light reflections on the rippled water surface. Great colors, very nice.

...and he has the view! Excellent and funny capture, Pierre, from a great POV. Nice tight framing around the boat and the inclusion of the small waves as backdrop - creating beautiful reflections - is just fine. Colors and textures are great. He does not only have the power - he has her trust too; she wouldn't be standing like that in front of the spectators, if she didn't trust him. An exquisite action shot - very well done!

wow, what a piece of technical perfection here - the water looks like a dense liquid (i think due to 1/40 exposure time) and the stunning colours - excellent work!

Good humourous scene Pierre. Guess the captain of the boat like the view and I guess there will be plenty of opportunities to 'dock' the boat under this voyage. Well seen..

On pourrait aussi associer cette scène en "Moment décisif". Le cadrage est parfait sur la proue du bateau qui est sur un point fort agrémenté "d'une belle vue".

C'est une photo superbe, belles couleurs, beau cadrage et bien l'humour! C'est pourtant un domaine très éloigné de votre passion et comme c'est un bateau à gros moteur, on ne peut même pas parler de vol à voile! Bravo, j'aime beaucoup. Claude

Great! It is difficolult to choose among your photos... This one is attractive for the subject, the colours, sharpness and so on but in first place I like the words "hustler" and "power" in it, they really give a "second layer" to the whole, making it a small story rather than a simple picture.
