Photographer's Note
After posting over 100 photos, it really surprised me that i haven't posted a photo of this popular landmark here in Vancouver.
So of course i had to get out there tonight and fix that problem!
This is the Science World exhibit. It was originally constructed in 1985 as it was home to the Expo 86 Fair, in which Vancouver was awarded that year. Why is it domed? I've often wondered that myself...locally, alot of people refer to it as the big golf ball.
Its now used today as a learning centre of sorts...for all ages. Every day there are countless interactive exhibits and hand on displays that are science related, and better yet, its a fun way for kids and adults to learn.
Have a great week everyone
Craig

Hello,
For a blue hour, it is a blue hour :-)
It helps to provide a futuristic mood to this photo and the blue is well balanced by the yellow urban lights.
Nice also to have the blurred reflections on the water to underline this architectur.

Ciao Craig,
penso che su TE sei quello che ha messo più blue hour e che sicuramente nel tempo hai dimostrato di sapere come gestire questo tipo di foto.
Luce perfetta e bellissimi riflessi su un'acqua che sembra di seta.
Compliments my friend!

Dear Craig, one of most beautiful photos of yours of the blue hour, in my opinion. The horizon in the middle and the composition with the buildings that create a diagonal towards the ball from golf are perfect. The glare that copy the truth is spectacular. Many compliments:-)
have a nice evening

Fascinating seaside landscape with stylish architecture. That sphere is quite suitable for Expo landmark, and it looks even better as a reflection. I have visited Vancouver, but I guess I missed this location.

Hi Craig, I think I could just about kill you this photo is so good. Not only is the exposition and Blue Hour perfect, the symmetry and graphism of those amazing structures just blows me away. It's a visual feast - and you've even nailed the depth of field: I can see a guy taking a leak on the top of that mountain! Thanks for sharing this bl**dy beautiful photo and have a great week, Lisa

Very blue photo but blue is my color... I think I like the lower part of the photo more that the upper part - first, because I love reflections but also because lights of the 'golf ball' (and it does look like a golf ball!) are more prominent, more interesting there.
To me, this place looks like, any time, it could send some small rockets or shuttles to space, to continue discovering it... Well, a couple of high-rises less would be better but no reason to be picky...
