The ship that I work on had stopped for a day of rest and recreation, and we happened to be in the bay where Sir John Franklin had spent his last winter before disappearing. The Capt. decided that we should try out our survival suits since it was a nice clear day and a warm temperature of about 7 degrees C. The shot was taken in a hurry just before I took the plunge myself. My camera was on automatic for the shot. This picture was reduced from 2560x1920 to fit the TE site.

This is a very unusual and funny scene! These men look like penguins who have each found their own little spot to enjoy the sun. Brrrr! 'Warm temperature of about 7 degrees'!! I guess everything is relative! What was the temperature of the water? Did you see any wildlife? Thanks for sharing this experience with us.

Just wondering the name of the bay - and where it is? This is pretty funny because at first you think it might be the Meditteranean and then look again! For a quick shot, you did really well!
