Photographer's Note
This picture is taken somewhere between Nain and Hebron in the north of Labrador.
You can see a lot of icebergs in this area. The really big ones far away floating in the Labrador sea. They arrive here all the way from the icecaps in the far north of Canada and Greenland and some of them are reaching getting smaller and smaller the Atlantic ocean.
Other smaller icebergs like this one, although it seems if there are three, get stuck along the coast for example in fjords.
Notice the light blue colour under water, that`s ice as well.

It's amazing that even in july ther are so big icebergs.

Dag Jan,
Mooi gedaan, bedankt.
Groeten,
John.

Jan, you are very fortunate to have seen this. Due to my bias for warm (hot would be the appropriate word) climates, it is quite unlikely I will ever see this kind of scenery.
One minor thought : white is highly reflexive and bothers the meter of the camera, I would reckon from the color of the ice and the clouds in the sky, a little too greyish- that you might brighten up the image say 2/3 or even one stop brighter.

Hallo Jan,
Groetjes, Paul

Hello Jan,
As others have already said, the color of the water in this photo is gorgeous. I like the shapes of the ice, and the large piece that rises vertically on the right side of the frame. I can sense the cold, and it is amazing that there is so much ice in July. Hopefully global warming will not completely destroy the icecaps in the years to come...

Bonjour Jan
Cordialement

Hallo Jan
Superb blues, great use of the curves from the ice to present this perspective wise image. Yes, very cold looking but that looks like a dream to dive into. Comp, detail and depth is captured perfectly.

Hi Jan
I like very much your composition and the management of light, here. The unbelievable and fantastic colors are really charming and real or not, I do not care, because, at this very moment, the important is that I could remain dreaming in front of it for a loong while... simply beautiful and mysterious, as are the northern lights or the lagoons. Your tight frame is a judicious choice and I realise just now, in front of your picture, that it is not so far from the fascinating hues of the labradorite, one of my favorite stones.
