Photographer’s Note
Besides taking photos moored up along the dock in the morning sun, I managed to capture this canoeist breaking the morning stillness on the lake. What a wonderful way to start the day. Enjoy

Hello Paul,
Very well composed picture.
The shadows of the mountains behind you on the mountains and the forest at the other bank are really splendid.
Very beautiful colours.
Best regards, Paul

Paul this image just gave me an idea. Next time I climb Mt Victoria I will take a canoe to go to the end of the lake and use it on the way back to avoid such long hike! Beautiful image with this interesting contrast of colours. The lone canoe does catch my attention because of the peaceful atmosphere felt on the water. Good work as always Paul :-)

Hi Paul
Nice compo with the canoes at the front, whose colours contrast with the ambiant green. The rower(s) placed at the center of the picture (it's not a fault) is eye catching. We feel quiet.
Thank you for this moment

Paul,
Your composition is great here! The dock and canoes provide depth for the scene. The man in the canoe provides a great point of interest and gives the shot a sense of motion and direction. The lighting and colors are great as is the sharpness and detail. The atmosphere is very relaxed here and you have presented it nicely.

Asa

When I visited Canada, few years ago, this is something that I would have liked to try: paddling in Lake Louise, or Emerald Lake, or one of the other great lakes I visited in the Rocky Mountains.
Unfortunately there are no canoes for three people. I could not leave the rest on my family and do it alone !
Your picture returns the sense of calm and tranquillity which this experience gives for sure.
Then the colors of the place make the rest of the job.
Regards Stefano

Paul, this one really tells a tale, what a great shot. The intrepid explorers left for the wilderness... Colors are surreal and the details in the shadow in the bg make it work and give it depth. Great stuff.

Hi Paul
This is a well composed shot with a simple but effective theme. I particularily like the shadow of the mountain in the BG.
