Photographer’s Note
Not much needs to be said about this place other than the fact that these red canoes became the center of my attention while enjoying the morning hours at Lake Louise. I do not think I have seen much scenery more visually stimulating than what I saw here that morning. As mentioned previously its best to get here early morning hours for this kind of lighting. Thank you.

Nice lake, still water, colourful boats, lot of greenery in the background, you have all the ingredients to take the superb photo and you have used these things beautifully. Excellent work. Congrats.

Hello Paul,
A marvellous shot. You are right about going early in the morning, not just for the light, but also, if you go later in the day, the canoes are in use, not posing idly for the photographer ;-) Cheers from Prague, Dasha

hi paul,
I definitely like your POV in this shot ... it provides such good perspective. The low light hasn't prevented you from getting rich colours and great sharpness.

Hello Paul,
as a painter, I much appreciate this capture which, to me, looks like a painting - a modern one, though :) Very effective, impressive combination of quiet, almost soft, greenish-blue and vivid bright red colour and its reflection in the water. Excellent composition!
Best wishes,
Elena

Hello Paul,
A fine capture of the canoes and their reflection radiating from the small wooden pier.
A fine colour combination under soft light.

Hi Paul
the canoes litterally get out of the picture, the red colour seeming to be in front of the darkest tones. Well seen, and taken

Paul, this is like decisions decisions, where to start. I like the LP panorama but for starting I think I like this one better. What I discovered on close inspection was that the view of the mountain is almost complete when adding the bg to the fg below the canoes. The colors are awesome and the shaft of light across the lake half way back is a wonderful highlight, great work.

Hello Paul!
I like very much your capture! The composition is excellent but above all, that's the colors and reflections that makes it almost supernatural. The softness of the texture is also very agreable and the subtle variations of hues on the water's surface, are attractive. Congratulations!

Hello Paul,
Wonderful composition. The people who let the canoes had the brilliant idea to use red ones.
No other colour could ever create such a strong contrast with the lake and the surrounding forest.

Hi, Paul -
Great composition of colors, with the beautiful reflections in the still water. There's a lovely surreal quality to it all.
I'm not sure about the mountain scene at top left, though. I think I'd like to see less or more of it; as it is, the bit of snow seems somehow incomplete. But it's a minor nit.
Best,
Dan

hi, Paul,
you absolutaly right, you have to wake up earlier to catch this type of light! and you did good on it! since the lake is so quiet, the reflecting light on these canoes are so soften, seems like lightbox been used. good job!
