Saint-Hyacinthe city has approximately 56000 inhabitants, predominantly French-speaking.
Here we are in downtown. On the left, we can see the old market of Saint-Hyacinthe, working since 1830; the current building was constructed in 1876. It is one of the oldest public markets of Quebec. There, we can find cheese shop, butcher shop, fruit shop, sausage shop and delicatessen, fish shop, bakery and cake, market gardeners, flowers and maple products during season.
