Queen Elizabeth Park,British Columbia.,a paradise in the middle of the town.

Queen Elizabeth Park is a municipal park located in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Little Mountain (elevation approximately 168 metres[1] (550 feet) above sea level). Its surface was scarred at the turn of the twentieth century when it was quarried for its rock, which served to build Vancouver's first roadways.

Prentice Bloedel's $1.25 million covered the open reservoirs and built the country's first geodesic conservatory surrounded by covered walkways, lighted fountains and a magnificent sculpture (Knife Edge - Two Piece) by modern artist Henry Moore. The Bloedel Floral Conservatory opened on December 6, 1969 amidst much jubilation with its many climatic zones, displaying a huge variety of plants and a superb selection of free flying tropical birds.

Attractions

There are several other attractions in the park. These include a pitch and putt golf course, a disc golf course,tennis courts, a lawn bowling club, and a restaurant.

Several episodes of the long running TV show Stargate SG-1 were filmed here.

Hello Danos,

A very nice place, a festival of green with differents niances cery well collected. In this festival green, the whit of the flowers arise very well. The FG on the left and the POV well selected give a great depht to the image.

The different graphical shapes of the trees are assets to the composition. The point of view takes our eyes toward the trees in the background which is giving depth to the photo. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors of the scenery. have a nice day.

Another very beautiful photos of yours which I had not seen.
This is a lovely composition indeed with a lot of sweet and delicate flowers and plants. Everything is so fine and neat here and fit together in a harmonious way. Even the sky is very interesting and fit to the whole scenery.
An ideal park for walking a photographing.
