Une vieille locomotive centenaire en restoration à côté de la gare de Vallée-Jonction. Roulera-t-elle un jour sur les voies du Quebec Central ou se contentera-t-elle d'etre exposée et admirée des amateurs de trains? L'avenir nous le dira.

An old centennial engine in restoration beside the train station of Vallée-Jonction. Will it roll again on the railroad of the Quebec Central or will it be exposed and admired by amateurs of trains? Only the future will tell us.

La ligne diagonale que le convoi fait, est un atout à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de cette vieille locomotive. L'image est claire et précise. La réflexion de la lumière sur la neige rehausse les couleurs. bonne soirée.

Hi Denis,
Beautiful shot of the old steam locomotive and its variety of cars that stand out so brilliantly against the blue sky and fresh white snow.
The old relic looks to be in finely restored shape and this bright late winter afternoon.
My hometown Schenectady, NY used to manufacture steam locomotives and many of the old tourist engines are from the Alco Company in Schenectady with closed in the late 60s.

Beautiful old locomotive shot on crisp winter light. Mixture of rusty and restored looking parts is interesting. I like the fact that there's freight cars behind. It adds impression as if it was about to start a journey.

Je ne prends plus assez de temps pour venir sourire aux amis.
Je t'ai envoyé un mot pour Wikipedia ;o)
La photo est superbe. En lisant la note, je comprends pourquoi on ne voit pas les rails malgré une couche de neige qui avait déjà beaucoup diminué. Je pense qu'elle a toute fondue actuellement avec l'approche des beaux jours.
Ton POV permet de capturer la locomotive en diagonale, ce qui apporte beaucoup à l'image.

Ca devrait car ces joyaux du passé font fureur au aux USA. On devrait prendre leurs exemple. En voyant la photo, la nostalgie s`en part de moi. Elle est superbe et les détails sont resortis avec la neige.

Good presentation of that charming piece of "industrial art". I appreciate much your talent for choosing POV's, which may look obvious but probably they aren't so much (although that isn't a flaw) and are certainly effective. The great clarity and vivid colours is another trademark of yours that makes it a very attractive photo.
