Un mélèze laricin gigantesque surplombe cette maison abandonnée. La forme de l'arbre me fait penser à l'arbre de Joshué que l'on retrouve sur la pochette de l'album musical "The Joshua Tree" de U2 produit en 1987.

A gigantic larch tree overhangs this abandoned house. The shape of the tree makes me think of the joshua tree that we find on the cover of the musical album " The Joshua Tree" of U2 produced in 1987.

Wonderful winter scene. The light is just beautiful. nice composition, too, although I would have been tempted to crop it just a little bit on the left to eliminate those branches. Just a minor thing though. Overall it's a great shot, thanks for sharing!

La prise de vue permet de distinguer les détails, les couleurs de l'architecture de la maison et de la grange. Le mélèze cadre bien la maison. La réflexion de la lumière sur la neige fait ressortir les couleurs sous un ciel nuageux.

Beau paysage de campagne pris à contre-jour. J'aime bien ces photos de vieilles maisons abandonnées. Le vieux mélèze qui s'élève dans le beau ciel bleu enjolive bien cette scène. beau travail.

Bonjour Denis,

L'éclairage est parfait car il rend la maison encore plus vieille qu'elle en a l'air. De toute façon elle est abandonnée et c'est ce qui lui donne un cachet encore plus particulier.

Nice balance in this well-framed photo. That really is an interesting tree shape, it adds drama to the always dramatic sunlight and shadow. A polarizer might filter help to prevent that bit of over-exposure in the clouds; but then again perhaps not - I still get OE clouds with a polarizer.

Somebody's proud home years ago, today just another small farm left behind!
A well composed image with a sad atmosphere, showing what is happening in high cost countries all over the world as labour intensive farming can't compete anymore...
This is a fine composition with good details, telling the story well!
