Here is another view of my favorite Vancouver Bridge, the Art Deco Burrard St. Bridge.
This photo was taken a couple days ago on a nice sunny autumn day with oversized large clouds, so i couldn't pass up the opportunity to get out there with the camera.
I walked all along the seawall, through Granville Island and back again. The entire walk is waterfront, so the views are spectacular at every glance, its hard to put the camera down.
I would certainly recommend this walk to anyone visiting Vancouver.
In the WS is a vertical composition
Thanks for looking

Allô Craig!...mon voisin d'aujourd'hui,
A partir de ce point de vue c'est très joli Vancouver avec tous ces bateaux qui attendent pour prendre la mer et le pont qui nous amène à la ville. Une photo bien captée et de superbes reflets.
Toutes mes amitiés et bonne semaine,

Attractive scene, blending the mirrored small boats stored waterfront, with the impressive art deco bridge, with the high rise Vancouver background.

Yes, I agree! In a situation like this and with such lovely light, is is difficult not to keep popping off shots all the time. And you have done very well here.
I'm swithering about which of your two lovely pictures I prefer: they are both perfectly composed and this one has fine darker areas in the foreground water and on the bridge itself and they contrast well with the bright white upturned boats and the distant buildings, but your workshop picture has some glorious big puffy clouds in a gorgeous sky.
Both photographs are perfectly exposed with lovely colours and exquisite details and sharpness.

great place for relax and for all architecture lovers.
Superb wide-angle view with nice, modern architecture and lovely FG(these reflections add a lot charm to the scene)
And I think it´s another scene, which would look great at blue hour or night.

Last Friday seems to have been a perfect day for a long walk. How nice that you remembered to bring your camera :-). (You'd never go anywhere without it, would you?) This is a fine view with a lot of different ingredients and details and with crystal clear sharpness and light. The bridge creates good depth. This one may be slightly more interesting than the WS, but the big cloud is nicer in that one.

hi craig. verticals, horizontals, diagonals, colors, dots... graphism is everywhere in this photo. the light is fantastic and the oily black of the sea creates a magic mirror. the bridge looks so nice to deserve some particular photographic interest.

this is a fascinating picture with lots to see right across the frame. the layers of stacked boats is the first to grab the attention as they sit horizontally across the picture, and then the wonderful skyline beyond with the buildings reaching upwards. meanwhile the bridge really lives up to its function and spans the whole scene adding more depth and bringing the whole scene together. on top of this the light and colours are attractive, and the sky wonderful. as usual your framing, positioning and the sharpness of the image all contribute to make this a visually striking picture.

Hi Craig, Wonderful and well framed image. The reflection in the water is excellent. The length of the bridge touches the endless of the blue sky enhances the depth of the composition Great picture

Nice capture from Vancouver with a nice cloudy sky as background and good graphism created with beautiful reflections of the boats on the shore.
TFS and best regards

Pour ma part, j'ai un petit faible pour la composition verticale du WS. L'endroit est vraiment un petit paradis pour les photographes et toutes tes images vont en renforcer la réputation!

Hi Craig, Both pictures are fantastic bit I think I prefer the vertical versions with nice fluffy clouds above. Wonderful image, the quality is as always stunning, colours, sharpness, reflections. All awesome. I can imagine that on a sunny day one can fill a lot of space on memory card during the walk. anyway, O would :).
have a nice week

An art deco bridge! Nice, I don’t get to see much in the way of Art Deco, so a bridge in that style is a real gem. And it looks brilliant in this, an ultimate urban scene. I love the business of it, the boats, the buildings, the bridge, so much to occupy the eye. I can see why this would be a place to see, with all these elements, I’d say my camera would be glued to my face here. Beautiful reflections too.

Good Morning Craig,
A most interesting composition, using opposing diagonals which allow the viewer to choose which area to study first; it's almost like two shots and yet, they fit well together.
I chose to follow Vancouver Bridge, first, heading towards the skyscrapers and buffeting clouds; then I had the delightful experience of studying the boats and their strong reflections.
There are strong contrasts when the sun is so low but you coped well.
Have a lovely day,

An ineresting view with sooo many details, beutiful bridge, nice city sky line, beautiful sky and intersting boat stand (I guess that they are placed there for the winter)

It's very beautiful from this side! Seems they have too many boats there! The light is perfect and you got a nice sky and reflection on the water. Good work!

Back from Argentina and a bit of Chile
A good shot of Vancouver harbor with the skyline at BG and the rows of boats at FG
However, the compo is just a bit disturbed by the dark grey cloud, at middle top, but you cant do much about that. Only my personal point of view
have a nice sunday, best regards
