Photographer's Note

Going back to one of my favorite places once again - i can't help it! :)

As you may know already, this is Stanley Park in Vancouver. The view has been photographed to death, and i'm apart of that, but it keeps me happy :)

It was taken early in the morning, just after morning Blue Hour on a crisp cold winter's day.

When you photograph a location so many times, you really get to understand it. For example, usually these Sails on the left are in color - reds, blues, yellows, greens and whites. But depending on the time of day they are Shut Off - I knew I had to get here early enough, but i was late! But in the end i liked how the Chevron sign came to life in contrast to the greys of the buildings.

Composition is SO important to me, i try to take notice of all the little things. I made an effort to position myself so that all 10 of the sails can be viewed, so that they are not overlapping eachother.

Hope you enjoy it
Cheers
Craig
