Yoho National Park
Trekking on the Iceline trail in British Columbia's Yoho National Park, kilometers of huge lateral and terminal moraines, where the glaciers recovered everything 10 years ago... The old path even had to be retraced because it is now within the treeline.
It's not easy to expose correctly the exceptional vistas of Yoho's park, between the burning sun, smoke from Montana's forests, the cold air from the north face glaciers, dark warm or cold white rocks between sun & ice...
I'll try to adapt a panorama of the site. |

Hi Bruno
The Iceline trail looks like an very picturesque walk and you have captured a great shot. The 3 trekkers in the foreground give the scene some sense of perspective.
TFS, Marlene
Hello Bruno,
The Iceline Trail is an awesome hike, unfortunately I didn't get to complete the hike due to time constraints. I like the image even though the effects of the fires is evident in the smoke and haze. I remeber a few years back when the forest fires in BC were so bad that the Columbia Icefields lost several metres in height due to the higher temperatiures created by the fires. A natural tragedy. Nice picture and well composed. Cheers :-)
Roberto
