Photographer's Note

A foggy day in Vancouver makes a great opportunity for taking photos. This was taken from a viewpoint on a nearby mountain, Cypress Mountain, looking down on the city right after sunrise. The low angle of the sun means that the light was just hitting the tops of the fog banks, really allowing us to see the texture there. I had rented a 300mm lens the day before just so I could get some good shots, and fortunately the foggy weather continued to the next morning.
