Hello Alvin,

Let me be among the first to identify this as one of the most beautiful scenes I have seen on Trekearth. The perspective and composition is exquisite. The light and colors, and especially the razor sharp resolution are flawless. It looks placid and peaceful, with nary a ripple on the water.

Yes, very cosy indeed and I think that I would love to spend Christmas Eve in one of those cabin and in good company! ;o)
A very appropriate post for the season, though it's surpirsing to see that this was actually shot in September. As usual you've managed to include a wonderful reflextion and really like the way the colours are changed at the surface of the water.

A great winter scenery, even it's taken end Sep, wonder how it looks in the middle of winter. The v-line shape of the mountains and trees create a wonderful composition. Strange that the trees look white on earth but green in the water, nice effect. Like the house and his reflection in the lake, nice focal point.

Lovely shot of Lake O'Hara. You have some of the best on this site. The sharpness is fantastic here. It's funny, I've seen pictures of Lake O'Hara with and without snow, and I actually kind of like it better with snow, so I particularly like this one. Nothing not to like about this one. Great shot all around.

Alvin, what a remarkbale winter shot. The trees and its reflections have a unique texture that almost reminds me of some metallic construction. The houses in the middle of the dip of the mountains and slightly off center gives a perfect presentation of this composition.

Fantastic, Alvin! The green with the white makes this one so very special, but also the brown that looks through the water and the little bit of blue that comes through the clouds. But what I like the very most are the little chalets peaking through the wood, and I can see me sitting at the fireplace reading a good book, sharing a glass of wine ... what can be more romantice, hey? Hello Alvin,

Again a wonderful mountain landscape, I like always the "V" form between the mountains.
Nice reflections also the small bungalows against the water are a nice place in summer for a calm vacation.

Hello Alvin,

You certainly are an original photographer, even though you often take shots of similar scenery centering on these majestic mountains and clear lakes, but you offer us something original every time. How far away do you live from these beautiful places? I suppose in much of Canada, like Australia also, natural beauty is not far away. I think that the little huts on the far side of the lake complete the complexity and wonder of the scene. This would be also delightful at dusk. Congratulations Alvin.

This would make a very challenging jigsaw puzzle, the reflections and the snow heavy trees are enough to make a fine image, but the mountains and the busy sky help even more.
