Photographer’s Note
Butchart gardens were founded by Jennie Butchart (wife of Robert Pim Butchart, one of the successful businessmen in cementing industry in 1800s) in 1904.At that time limestone quarry at Tod Inlet (Vancouver Island) was depleted and Jennie (who was entrepreneur by spirit) decided to develop garden instead of mine. This garden received a name Sunken Gardens. It contains a number of gardens with plants,bushes,flowers... from different parts of the world and situated on 55 acres (22 ha) of land. Millions of people visit these gardens, enjoy their beauty, history, gardening and talent of the people that creates and maintain this magic throughout years.
Today Butchart Gardens are in family possession still and being owned by the great-granddaughter of Robert and Jennie Butchart.
Enjoy.
Cheers,
Mike :-)

hi mike,
the vibrancy, serenity, and sophistication that come once a year in other places that i for one wished we have here in LA- autumn! a little too bright tho but what a "show-off" capture of this portion of the famed Butchart gardens.

Bonjour
ces couleurs automnales au Canada sont magnifiques, tu nous en donnes la preuve par ton excellente composition avec verdure, un endroit boisé, une diversité de couleurs chaudes de saison et une excellente luminosité
bravo

Hello Mike, very beautiful autumn colours. I like very much the green meadow with this yellow leaves, which are lake golden drops. Despite this I think a composition in different angle would be better because you could use the S-figurative meadow like guiding line. Besides this the left lower part is a bit overburdened.
Despite all I like the colours and the proportion light/shadows, and because of this - 2 points :)

mike,
Beautiful colors in this photo. I agree with some of the others that it may have benefited from a different perspective or different time of the day because the shadows draw the attention just to the left side. Otherwise, it's framed well, and the colors! Thank you.
