Photographer’s Note

Victoria is known as City of Gardens. With its mild temperatures and plentiful sunshine, Victoria boasts gardens that are home to many plant species rarely found elsewhere in Canada. Several species of palms, eucalyptus, and even certain varieties of banana and palm trees can be seen growing throughout the area's gardens. The city takes pride in the many flowers that bloom during the winter and early spring, including crocuses, daffodils, early-blooming rhododendrons, cherry and plum trees. Every February there is an annual "flower count" in what for the rest of the country and most of the province is still the dead of winter.

Hello Roberto,

Charming photo with a good composition and subject. The deep of field was perfect with still a sharpness on the flower of foreground and a blur on the background to isolate the girl.

This small bee seems very interested by these pretty flowers which I also find very beautiful and quite fleshy. A species that I do not know but who must give beautiful colors to urban spaces with the other species that you enumerates in your note. A tender photograph which I like much. Hello Roberto, Strange but Melbourne in Victoria, Australia is also known as the garden state, that may change now with the shortage of water. A pretty picture with the lovely child well placed in the frame & those flowers give it an infusion of colour.
