Photographer’s Note
Back from holidays and tons of pictures to share with family and friends. Here is one taken of the Empress Hotel in downtown Victoria. This city is truly beautiful and a paradise to enjoy just about anytime of the year, or so I heard! Being a small city, the 15th largest city in Canada, is not a factor in the amount of attractions the city has to offer. From whale watching tours to little and large museums, this city seem to offer anything to anyone. The views are awesome! Cheers :-)

Hello Roberto,
A pretty composition of this lovely city harbour. I like the point of view and the diagonal placement of the path and grassy embankment. Very surprised to see a palm tree in that part of the world. The image has a pleasing summery atmosphere with very good lighting and natural tones.

HI Roberto
An easily identifiable landmark, not sure the palm tree was already there when I visited but it makes the whole image look exotic.
Have a nice day JY

Hi Roberto,
A very familiar scene from our provincial capital. Always a place full of activity but one of the most beautiful inner harbours around. I always enjoy wandering the lower promenade. Great shot, Roberto, and TFs. Gerald

Hello Roberto,
a very well known place for me of BC, the Columbia island and especially this one that i visited the last month.A great place that in combination with the famous Fairmont Empress hotel make the scene as a dream.Excellent the light as the colours too.Well done.
Regards,Danos
PS have you visited the miniatureworld that located near the Empress hotel? There were unreliable constructions in it.

Hello Roberto,
The palm tree in the middle make a difficult guess of being in Canada! Nice point of view on this beautiful harbor. Seems like you begin to experience summertime there.
Have a nice day.

G'day Roberto!
I'm ruing missing out on Victoria and Vancouver Island when I was last over your way ('07): this lovely shot of yours convinces me I must see it for myself next time. Great colours and sharpness, and a wonderful piece of architecture, too.
Best wishes,
Jeff

Hola Roberto.
Precioso lugar, la altura de tu POV ayuda mucho tu foto al crear una buena perspectiva pudiendo disfrutar de la palma y la farola con la magnifica vista de la marina y el área del hotel. Muy buenos colores, foco y marco.
Abrazos.

hello Roberto
I like how you have built up and framed this attractive image - the palm tree makes for a good starting point and leads nicely the eye to the other side of the harbour. The empress hotel looks quite impressive and the plants climbing on the facades are a nice detail to look at!
Light and colors are superb!
Cheers

Hi Roberto
I know this place! I spent several days in Victoria last year. The Empress Hotel is bedecked in green ivy, rather than red, as I remember it. Good pov & sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Roberto,
I like the gardening here especially climber grasses on the walls of castle like architecture, the surrounding environment is colorful full with poetic flavour and realxing feel, good pov to show it, thanks for sharing a nice corner from the city.

Hi Roberto,
Beautiful cityscape, with those old, ivy-covered building, the sea and the white boats, the promenade with the passers-by, the nice park and that unusual tree on the FG. I must admit that I prefer those old, historical buildings to the sky-scrapers...

Hi Roberto
I will be in Canada next August so I am expecting much from this trip...Victoria will be one of the sights we'll be visiting and by looking at your pic I think I'll be happy to walk around these green gardens...SO NICE!
You chose a good POV here, anyway, I like the diagonal line made by the footpath and people walking on it. Well done!
Have a nice day,
Rikk

Hi Roberto,
I don't underestand how this palm tree survived there. Incredible!
It makes a strong contrast with the architecture.

Olá Roberto,
Is a pretty postcard of this place.
The definition is not best, because it seems to me that of f/ chosen was too short and the point of focus was not the ideal. This is my honest opinion.
Regards,
Filipe
