Another of the dozen or so totem poles at Thunderbird Park, located in Victoria, on Vancouver Island. From Wikipedia:

'Totem poles are monumental sculptures carved from large trees, usually cedar, but mostly Western Redcedar, by cultures of the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America. The word "totem" is derived from the Ojibwe word odoodem, "his kinship group"'

Wonderful capture of this beautiful piece of Native American culture.
the giant totem stands out brillantly against the blue sky and is seen in all its fine intricate details.
