Photographer’s Note
The facade of the imposing Empress Hotel in the bg, is covered in red ivy. That's Victoria Harbour on the right.

Hello Chris,
This is a great angle to show off the Empress. The angle of the walk along the harbor was an excellent addition to the scene and makes one want to venture along the waterway and view the scenes.
Merry Christmas........

Hello Chris,
The well chosen vantage point puts the Empress Hotel into very good perspective. I remember visiting the hotel in 1977, but had forgotten it was located right at the Harbor. Warm regards, and Seasons Greetings.

Une courbe qui joue bien dans cette composition aux belles couleurs. Celles de la façades sont splendides.
Bien cadrée.

Hi Chris,
The POV is superb, it gave a splendid view of the harbour, the street and, of course, of the hotel, which stands out very nicely, aided by the good placement and the red on the walls. The curve ov the harbour gives a great sense of depth and dynamism. I like very much the presence of the couple below.
Happy New Year!
Regards, José.

Hi Chris,
The curve of the road and the refelctions in the water are assets to the composition. The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view takes our eyes toward the Empress hotel. The picture is clear and precise. The intensituy of the light is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Hi Chris
I like your choice of perspective for this shot. Its also pleasing to the eye that you've taken it from a bit of a birds eye view.
I would also love to see this same shot taken at night with lights.
Great shot.
Thanks for sharing
